Well, I was playing my Maz Jr. last night and I found yet another amazing setting for this amp. I usually do mostly country and some classic rock, but last night I landed on an amazing crunchy rock sound that blew me away. It was a little dirtier than I'm used to, but boy did it ever retain that clarity and punch that I love the Z amps for. Pretty Marshally in fact, but alot more complex than any Marshall I've ever heard. Throw in some Vox clarity, and there you go. I guess what it all boils down to is that fantastic Z tone and the huge amount of versatility one can get with the Maz series amps, and with the Jr. this was all at a volume that didn't get me in too much trouble with the wife. Thanks Doc for such great amps.

Sorry to leave you guys hanging. Here's how I set things up:
Guitar: Nash Telecaster with bridge pickup from Jason Lollar
Amp settings: Volume = 1:00 Treble = 11:00 Mids = between 1:00 and 2:00 Bass = Almost maxed. maybe about 3:30 Master = noon Cut = 10:00
These settings were a little unusual for me, especially running the bass that high. It's just something I tried and really liked with the Telecaster. It can get pretty loud at those settings, but it's not too hard to control. I had a great time pumping out some great rock tones with these settings, and it still could do some country if I rolled the guitar volume back a hair.

I run my Jr NR similar. Exceptions being; volume 3:00 bass OFF
Tele with Duncan Hot Rails ( don't laugh, it kills) (This is a very dark guitar FWIW)
This setting gives me a great Vox vibe with the guit rolled back and Marshall drive when WFO. I have a G12H in it BTW.
All roots stuff, Alt. country, southern Rock, classic country, blues.
This is as happy as I have ever been with my rig, in the last 3 years I have owned nearly every Z made....several of some..........

I just dialed in these settings and am digging it. I am running a G&L asat classic semi-hollow. This rocks! Thanks

Hey, glad you like those settings. Try playing around with them a little since it's a different guitar and pickups. You might find a little more this or a little less that can just be magical with this amp. Cheers!
