I pulled out pin receptor #1 while trying to change rectifier tubes. It doesn't look like anything was connected to it, but that could just be the incredibly clean initial installation. I pulled the chasis to get a better look at it and unfortunately, the rectifier is located in a difficult spot for any type of work. Any suggestions? I'm not afraid to do minor work, but without a schematic, I certainly don't want to dive into the guts of the amp.... Tube schematics seem to indicate that Pin 1 is "internally connected", which may mean this is a pin with nothing attached to it??

Not to worry. The rectifier socket only wires and uses 4 of the 8 pins it has. Also the rectifier tube only uses 4 pins to operate.
If you look at that female pin you removed, half way down is a small triangle barb, this barb is what holds the pin in place.
use a small tool and push the barb out a bit so when you push it back into the socket it snaps and will hold.
Or just leave it out as it isn't used.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you.........
I even had dreams last night that I had ruined it forever. It is my absolute favorite piece of equipment. Thank you for building such great amps, and double thanks for being so responsive to the commmunity that uses them.......Your company and the way it is operated is the jewel of the industry. You have set a standard which all others should strive to reach. Again.....thank you.
