tommyellison, All settings sound good! ;D The band loves the way it sounds. Our soundman can't believe it either. I plug into a voodoo lab amp selector and send a signal to the PA for all acoustic sounds. I usually use the low input of the Maz Jr or Sr. I think this is the best setting for the T5. Since I use Strats, (I plug them into the High input), I usually add some cut, probably around 11 o'clock. I find I use the Number 3 middle position (humbucker) the most and also the 4 and 5 positions for some Tele and Gretcsh sounds. What about you?

I am still experimenting with mine and fighting feedback on the open D string in numerous positions. Somewhat mystified by the acoustic settings but realize I need to run it through the PA for best results. Recently got an A/B box for that purpose so I can switch signal path depending on which pup I am intending to play. The one time I gigged with the T5, I was playing through my Swart AST but have since been using the Z more for the larger rooms we are playing recently. With all the potential the Z offers with tone control/cut settings, I need to just play a few gigs and listen.
Thanks for the feedback. Apparently there are not too many T5/Z combinations out there amongst board members.

Hey guys. I have a T5 custom/maple and an 18NR. I hate to use the same old cliche but I really haven't found any sounds I don't like. Only had the amp a couple of months but there are a ton of sounds I can live with. I usually set the amp and then tweak around with the guitar. I use an xotic BB and an EBS Dynaverb and they cover about everything I need. I can A/B between the Z and my Carvin PA for a totally acoustic sound. If you haven't already printed a copy of a42's maz 18 tones, do it. He has organized all the different settings available of the forum and I think it's a good starting point to approach your experimentation in an organized fashion. It's a shame Lefty can't figure a way to incorporate a teleporter into this forum.
Bob.
