I'm having a hard time dialing in that OD that Marc Ford produces for the Crowes.. Everyone keeps telling me.. get a marshall. Well, I don't want a marshall because their clean sound is not what I desire. Not to mention the Crowes recorded w/ old fenders combos! Can anyone give me some suggestions? I have an OCD, but I think it sounds fizzy personally. Thanks

Volume high, master lower and use a booster should get you there.

I don't have a Lester right now, but I do have a hot rails loaded Tele that I was getting those tones with yesterday with my Jr NR, G12H loaded tone meister.
Volume and Master @ noon, bass killed, treb and mids +/- noon cut at 1:00 should get you started, this guitar is dark so your settings will vary, I hit the front end with an RC booster with all knobs at noon also.

Gracias!! Just trying to decide whether I need yet another OD pedal that I won't be thrilled with again.

Should try a fuzz pedal of some sort - Rat, etc. That would help quite a bit.
