Got home late-night from a gig and was unpacking my car. I placed my maz-18 head on a wobbly chair in my office only to hear it hit the floor. As I turned back it rolled once. This was a relatively low chair and the floor had carpet and a pretty good pad, so it wasn't a hard fall to concrete. I've been cringing ever-since as I relive the moment and curse my stupidity.
The problem now is that it powers up and all the tubes seem to glow, but I get absolutely nothing out of it.
Where would you start to troubleshoot this? I bought this used from a guy who also bought it used and I was thinking of replacing the tubes anyway.
Any ideas? Thanks for any input.

ouch! I can feel your pain and know that feeling when you see something like that happen. I just got my Les Paul Custom back from the shop to repair a headstock crack after a similar fall. The amp easily comes out of the cab by removing the four screws at the top of the cab. You could check for physical damage if you're comfortable with pulling the amp unit from the cab. The ghia's are solidly built so tubes would be my first thought but a good inspection never hurts. Careful though, as the filter capacitors can hold plenty of voltage which could result in a nasty shock!!! I'd start with the rectifier tube, then the output tubes. I'm not sure if the back panel fuse would allow the amp to light up, maybe another member will chime in. Good luck...

Hey man, stuff just happens! Try checking your power tubes, they can still sometimes light up but not work. Start by trying another set of power tubes, then change out other tubes one at a time. Since the tubes are glass they probably will break faster than other components. If the tube change doesn't work then you will need a tech to check out the amp..... good luck.

Check the speaker wires too. I would put a battery on the terminals just to be sure it didn't hurt the speaker even though that's not too likely. Tubes are definitely the place to start. If one was damaged it may have taken out a fuse too.

Unlikely any damage to the internal components but I would suspect the rectifier tube if all are glowing and it is silent . A good shock like that will usually damage tubes . Stuff happens , you'll think on that next time you place it somewhere .

Thanks for all the replies. Yeah - I won't do that again. I had my car wide open outside with the rest of my equipment and I was worried about that (not that my neighborhood is THAT bad)!
This is a head, not a combo. I actually have a rectifyer lying around so I'll try that first. Time to change my tubes anyway.

You could receive a lot more than a nasty shock, more like deadly... BE CAREFUL Check with Dr. Z, he may have placed a resistor to drain the caps then use a meter to double check the caps and keep one hand in your pocket.
