Can you tell a production date by using the serial number?

The first digit will be a letter. That tells you the year:
J= 1999 k=2000 l=2001 m=2002 n=2003 o=2004 p=2005 q=2006
It should be said this is only for Z amps.

Well guys, I LOVE my Z's but I draw the line at dating one... I think that might even be illegal in some states? ;D But hypothetically if say, my "friend" were to date one... I'd be leaning towards flowers...

My MAZ put out on the first night. So, my question would be... would a 2 or 3 knob DR Z be "Easy"... and would a DR Z with more knobs maybe be a little harder to "get to know" the first time? Sorry Moonrock... we just can't resist the stupid jokes around here, but gtrman3 was correct about the answer... everyone else is just wise apples!
