Hi everyone, When I play my cure at home it sounds great. No issues; great clean well defined tone. When I take it to my bands rehearsal studio it seems that it’s power output is cut by 3/4. Could it be a power issue at the rehearsal studio? Any experience with this issue. Thanks

Hi Ken - Can give a little history on the amp: did you buy it used or new? How long have you had it and how often is it played? Can you estimate how many hours are on the power tubes? Are you able to crank the amp up at a different location to rule out the power concern at rehearsal? These questions along with others that may be asked will help determine the culprit re loss of power.
There are a lot of tech-wise folks here to help figure it out, and you may even had the Doc chime in.

Are you sure it's just not running out of headroom when you are playing with drums, bass, etc? A low powered amp can sound huge and capable of deafening volumes at home but in a band situation they can run out of gas pretty quickly.

First, thank you to everyone for their input. I am pretty sure it’s the venue as it doesn’t happen when playing other places. Time to find another rehearsal space 🙂
