Hello there! Does the power amp section of the Therapy amp operate in triode or pentode mode? Thanks a lot. Peter

Interested in this too due to the fact the amp is rated at 35W with two 6L6s and big iron. Can’t find any images on the web that I can see well enough to tell how it’s wired. Great amp though, whatever the mode.

Great amp though, whatever the mode. As far as the 35 watts goes, it depends on how the amp was rated (clean vs full out distortion). I suspect the fact that the amp is cathode biased makes a difference to the output as well (in addition to being tube rectified).

I am a layman, but I would say in cathode bias, the power rating is always lower than in fixed bias with the same tubes. I guess Therapy should be pentode if it gives 35 watts in cathode bias configuration, but I would like somebody to confirm.

Pretty sure it’s just a cathode-biased, tube-rectified ‘normal’ circuit…so, pentode.
