I'm thinking of adding an EVH Wolfgang to my arsenal, but the one glaring question I have is about the frets. I'm used to the frets on my Les Paul, which I'm guessing are medium jumbo. The frets on the WG are "Vintage Stainless", and I love how they feel with regular strings in standard, but I'm wondering how they'll affect the playability when using thicker strings in lower tunings?? Does anyone have any experience with this??

I would think the standard Ernie Ball to Peavey to EVH Wolfgang guitars stayed more the same than not. Anyway, I have Peavey Wolfgang special from around 2000 that I had 12-56 strings tuned down a whole step and thought it worked great. Learned a few Motley songs and then had no more use for it. Sample below FWIW. There's 3 other lessons like that on my channel if anyone is interested (search channel for motley). It was fun to learn them. I'm not trying to plug anything, just through I'd try to answer your question and had an example to go with it. That guitar was $700 new back then. Supposedly made in USA too. Also, I might add that I know a guy who's fingertips are messed up and he uses an 8 gauge set tuned down a minor third and you would never know that by watching him. He just learned how to make it work for him and his disability.

I had a Peavey Wolfgang, bought new in 2000. The stock frets were stainless "narrow/tall." Id say taller than medium jumbo.. They did NOT feel like the tiny vintage tele frets I hate.
