Hello all.
I recently purchased a used 2017 MAZ 8. I have owned other Z amps over the years and currently own a MAZ 18 NR and a CURE. When I engage the standby switch it takes 5 or 6 seconds for the sound to fade where in my other Z amps the sound reduction is almost instantaneous.
Is this somewhat normal or is it an indication of another issue cropping up?

Not an issue. The Maz 8 has a very robust power section with large filtering capacitors so that the amp is whisper quiet (not easy to do with single ended designs). You’re hearing those caps drain. That’s how Doc wired it.

Yeah, Todd's right... it can vary amp-to-amp, but I've got a couple that you could probably switch off and then keep playing 'til the end of the measure.
