Since buying my Cure a couple of years ago, I bought a used Nova and a new Z Wreck Jr. Well, I've sold the Nova and the Z Wreck Jr and I'm loving the Cure!
I never bonded with the Z Wreck Jr. It was an awesome amp, but I favored my tweed Deluxe Clone for the gain levels I use. Something in the "British" voicing wasn't for me.
The Nova was also an awesome amp, but was a little louder than I needed and wasn't quite the sound I'm after. I sold it to a pro player earlier today. He played a Wildwood 10 '62 Telecaster Custom through it and it sounded awesome! He made that amp sing! It's in great hands!
The Cure is just right for the gritty roots and blues sounds that I'm after and the basement and backyard jams and BBQ joint gigs that I play.

Sad, but happy to say, that after a few years of having my Cure I just got around to trying the EQ bypass option. It played great with my pedalboard in the EQ mode so I never messed with the bypass. About a week ago I had a lot of free time so I decided to give it a whirl, and it had some killer Blues/Americana tone to it. I could easily just use a delay and reverb pedal with it and be happy, but I would still need my full pedalboard for the gig I do with the cover band I play with. I tried the EQ bypass with my Maz 8 but wasn't quite as happy as I was with the Cure. Old dog - new trick!

Wow! You waited a lot longer than I did. I demoed my Cure without the bypass footswitch. When the dealer offered for me to try it I didn't bother because I liked the amp so much without it. I tried it pretty shortly after I got home. If I'm using a guitar with P90s or humbuckers all I need is that amp to play a blues rock gig.
Sometimes I like to crank up the volume to about 3:00 and use the bypass to get a Marshall type of sound. It's what I always hoped my Soldano Astroverb would be (but wasn't).

I love my cure with my K line Springfield (strat). It’s so versatile and covers everything I need. My band plays a variety….Steely Dan, Yellowjackets, eagles, doobie brothers, jazz fusion etc. Plenty loud for small to medium size venues which are most of my gigs without being mic’d.
For outdoor concerts and large venues I do use a mic. I also use it at home at low volumes and it still sounds great.
I do use pedals…MXR reverb, Strymom Ola chorus, vibrato, bos DD3T digital delay, boss rev, in the effects loop. in front of the amp.. electroharmomix East River Drive, Ibanez TS9, Maxon sd 9.
With these pedals and the cure I get amazing results for my usage. I don’t want to fail to mention that my K line guitar greatly contributes to the results as well.

The more I play my Cure, the more I'm impressed with its flexibility.
-Set the Master low and the Level high for good clear articulate Fender-like tones. Turn up the volume to dirty it up.
-Set the Master high, the Level low, crank the volume, and step on the boost pedal for cranked Marshall-like dirt.
I could use two of these sided by side with an AB switch!

We fired up my Cure this afternoon at my place and it sounds so cool. It's lightweight and does it all from clean jazz to great OD'd rock. Just another satisfied Cure owner. Oh, and late to the party with the boost pedal too. I don't like it on most of my amps but it sounds really good with the Cure.

I'm still learning the nuances of the boost switch with this amp-
Set the Volume at a medium to high level, the Master high, and the Level low to set the overall volume and the boost switch makes the amp dirtier more than louder. I think it pushes the phase inverter further into distortion (this is how I usually use the Cure).
Set Volume at a low to medium level, the master low to set overall volume, and the Level high and the boost switch increases volume more than dirt.
