In light of a recent post I made about running the Z Wreck through my Germino 2x12 cab it made sense to give a brief gig report from last night.
I grabbed the Z Wreck and cab from storage to play a 400 capacity venue. I turned the cab around (facing up-stage), put the folding vault in front of it and throttled it down with the Air Brake...did I mention it's a small place?!? I had the Air Brake on "4"...that's how small it was.
I put me in-ears in and prayed for the best...and did it deliver. I only brought a couple of teles (Nocaster & '62 Custom) with me and both sounded wonderful. The snap of the '62 and the growl of the Nocaster....good stuff. While the Wreck had plenty of gain on-tap with the volume at 11:00 I boosted the front end with a Greer Lightspeed, Chase Tone Red Velvet Fuzz or a Time Machine Boost in the "70's" mode....sometimes switching to the Modern side for a lead boost.
Variety is indeed the spice-of-life!
That is all...Cheers! -Dave

Rhino I think I'll be taking the Stang Ray out to the Whiskey Baron this coming weekend. Can't decide is I'll go Z 1x12 shorty or 2x10 convertible. Probably won't be able to turn up past 2 though. Now I'm already having second thoughts... Got some outdoor stuff coming up so I'll definitely get to use it at some point.
