I’m giving Mark N full credit for me getting the Belle. It may be the most dynamic pedal I’ve ever owned. It has a great top end and basically sweetens the tone. I’m using it with my Z-Luz and Cure. I have it set for clean with lighter picking and overdrive when you hit the strings harder. It very amp like. I’ll post a picture of the new board later today.
Y’all need to give this thing a try! I have a buddy that I’m playing with and when he heard it, he thought it was great. I’ll bet that he’ll have one by Friday! lol

To follow up on this, my red 535 sound's glorious through this pedal and the Lux. It's just great for blues.

Hey Russell!! Glad you got one!! Man, it's a pedal that I just can't shut off!! It's always on with just a hint of grit...and if I do want to crack it open, there's lots of gain on tap! Very versatile pedal! Congrats!

I just checked out Wampler's demo of this, it's a great sounding pedal. I've got both of the Nobels OD pedals, and this one kills them. Much more open and clear sounding while maintaining great drive. Not muddy at all. Very cool.

I have a ODR mini and yeah, the Belle has some clear advantages when it comes to tone shaping...a lot more control over that big bottom end you get on the Nobels. I like the ODR... I LOVE the Belle

Dave, this pedal works great in front of a clean amp. I have the Lux’s volume at 10:00. I have the Belle’s set to about 2:00 to drive the front end on the amp a bit and the gain about 1:00, maybe 12:45. With this setting, the guitar is pretty clean while picking lightly, and will go in overdrive by hitting the strings harder. It’s the most dynamic pedal I’ve ever had. It has just enough mids to push your tone to the forefront, but not mid heavy like a tube screamer. The bass control is 11:00 and the color is at 2:00.
It also stacks well. I have the Belle at the end of the overdrive pedal chain and will stack the morning glory (bb style) into it for more gain. The morning glory is really flat, but going into the Belle still keeps the little bit mids to push the tone forward. It’s really a cool pedal.

It would be interesting to hear a comparison of the original ODR-1, the current production or mini iteration, the Belle, the ODR side of the Brown Amplification Protein and the Nordland ODR-C or some subset of these.

I have not played the Belle but I own an ODR Mini (actually 2) and the Nordland ODR-C. I have played through a Brown Protein. I live in Kansas City where they are made so it is not that hard to find one in a local store. For the ODR thing I prefer my Nordland ODR-C. I had an original Bluesbreaker and the BB side of the Protein compares very well to that but I have gotten away from two-sided pedals.

So, a Nobles style on one side and a BB on the other with he BB cascading into the Nobles?

Based off of this post, I checked out this pedal. I then ordered it. I've been messing around with a dedicated dirt pedal for my Tele neck pup. I think this one will nail it. And for $127 on Reverb, it's priced right.

I picked one up from Sweetwater at a good price several months ago. My initial reaction was it didn’t do much my Timmy didn’t already do. I quickly put it back in the box. I’m thinking I should give it some more time and fiddle with it a bit. Five minutes probably wasn’t nearly enough time to evaluate its merit.

Check it out again, but it is probably very similar to the Timmy. You might can get the Belle to be "fuller" because of the bass knob.

If I didn't have fully realized and widely recognized issues concerning drive pedals of every sort, I'd need to say it's all your fault. Oh, you too, Russell! lol Guilty!

Currently those are the only two dirt pedals I use. I like the low frequency thing an ODR can add at low dirt levels but as players have learned it can get woofy as you increase the dirt when playing live with a band. Obviously the Timmy sounds more natural when you crank it up. That is what it is famous for.

I've got a Timmy I can compare with when I get my Belle. I bought it on Reverb yesterday and just checked for tracking, but it hasn't shipped out yet.

Saves space and I believe they are easier to find and definitely less $$. I'd like to try a Belle. I liked the ODR except for the bass issue (even the new one with the cut switch didn't help much IMO)

I’m really digging mine. Very touch sensitive!

I received a notification today that Nordland is making two new versions of the ODR. Both smaller (therefore no battery compartment) and less expensive. The ODR-CC+ which has deleted the internal brightness control for the LED and the ODR-CC which omits that and the Mid control. The ODR-CC+ is 175.60 EUR and the ODR-CC is 158.80 EUR. I thought the addition of a Mid control on my ODR-C would be very useful. It works well but I have wound up setting it at the neutral position since the Lo-cut and compression control seem to be the only improvements that were really needed. I will still stay with the full size one. I have found with other mini-sized pedals that the value and (more importantly) the taper of the pots varies more than their full-size original versions. This seems to be across the board and not just limited to the very cheap pedals so it must be due to the available components.

I also received the notification - and I just ordered the Nordland ODR-CC+ ! I love the ODR-C, has become my No. 1 drive pedal. I was looking for a more compact Nobels-style pedal to use on my second, small pedalboard. Considered to try the Wampler Belle - but now waiting for the ODR-CC+ to arrive from Germany (should be quick, I am based in Switzerland ).

Just got my Belle and did a quick sound check. It's great. More to come, but I really like what I'm hearing so far. Thanks for the heads up, Russell...This along with my Friedman Small Box pedal should be a great pairing.

Quick update: I've been using the Belle for about 10 shows now. It has quickly become my main overdrive pedal!
