It's time to upgrade my pedal power unit. I've used the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 plus for 5 plus years or so. I've never had an issue with it at all. But having the ability to power more than 8 effects would be nice. Plus the PP3plus weighs a pound less!
Does anyone here have the new VL Pedal Power 3 Plus? If so, what do you like and dislike about it?

Nice to see Voodoo Lab has upped their game. I used a PP2+ for a long time and was happy with it but also needed "more" a couple of years ago and went to a Truetone CS12, which did the trick for me. It is a "digital" supply. I suspect the PP3+ is also and Voodoo Lab is just not saying so. It almost has to be since it is that much lighter and smaller and has those outputs. If Voodoo Lad had had this available I would have stayed with that brand.

I just ordered one that is supposed to arrive today for my new board. I will report back once I get it setup. They're hard to get! I went ahead and pulled the trigger yesterday too. None in stock online, except at my local Guitar Center. I've been using my PP2+ since 2014 and it's never failed me. Why change brands? Its got everything I need and more. I'm hoping the new one is as reliable as the old one.

I have a pedal power 2+ and a Mondo. The Mondo now has 4 outputs which don't work and that kind of makes me hesitant. The board with that one now is using the Friedman one with 10 350ma taps and seems to work well. It powers the H9 fine which requires more than 350ma. Using a voltage doubler cable with my Fulltone Dejavibe (18 volt pedal), I don't think it quite delivers what it needs. If I just turn on power, the pedal doesn't work and I have to unplug the power to the Fulltone and plug it back in, then it works.

I have used the BBE SupaCharger for years. I had a brief try with a multi-unit and didn't think I really needed to test it before selling off most of my board at the time including the power brick. Bought another one again. I will eventually need something else as my board has crept over 8 pedals. I hear those who are hesitant about a new brand. BBE stuff is solid.

I had problems with my PP2+ when I added a splitter to run two pedals off the same output. They we're drawing far less current than the output put out. Tried it with two different VL splitters. It would always cut out at a show. So I stopped doing that! That's the only issue I ever had with the 2P+. I'm hoping the 3+ works as intended.

I also went with Truetone....although I wouldn't have any hesitancy to go with the newer digital Voodoo stuff. My PP2+ never gave me any issues.

I put my Pedal Power 3 Plus on the board yesterday and then played for about 2 hours. The supply seems to be quiet and powered everything fine, though I don't have any pedals that are huge current hogs. I like the smaller size of the unit, it is the same width as my 4x4 so i was able to have the screw holes to mount the supply ready before I received the power supply. One thing to note is that the outlets on the supply are close together so some connectors might be to fat. If you use the supplied cables you won't have any problems, though I would like them better if they had one straight plug instead of two right angle plugs. Over all I do like the supply.
