I used to buy a lot of guitars, but now I seem to be in a Z kick. Long story short, I missed this amp last year after the seller raised the price on me at the last minute. So I passed, then it came up again this week from another seller for less money. So I bought it, it was actually the one I was after before I ended up with my other RT66. KEEPING BOTH, matter of fact I may just be out of the hunt for a Mazerati for a bit because I think i've fallen head over heals for the RT66. I had to make a 6hr round trip for it today, I even had to make a detour off of I55 through Litchfield IL. So I ended up on RT66 for a stretch, it was a good day. I even got the Pine/Tweed 1x12 with a WGS Veteren 30. I don't need the cab, so who knows were it end up.

Congrats on a great amp find! The Interstate 66s have a very distinctive sound!

I think this one is kind of a "Transitional" amp maybe? I'll have to A/B them tomorrow. I played the Blonde when I got it home, but my cab is still loaded with gold in it. I didn't notice a HUGE difference, maybe a little brighter and tighter, but Doc did make the Black one a little dark for a "Strat". Black 1st Year TOP / Blonde 2001 Bottom

Howdy,
I've got serious GAS for a '66. This amp begs a guy to plug in and play "Polk Salad Annie" or anything off the "Get Yer Ya-Ya's out" album.
