All I can say is wow!. This is currently Z number 15 in my stable of amps. The Nova has its own voice and doesn't sound like any of my other Z's. The most beautiful cleans and killer classic rock and blues overdrive. The master volume is amazing and works perfectly through its entire range including whisper quiet levels. It loves every pedal I throw at it too.The EQ is perfectly voiced and matching volumes between channels is a breeze, much better than my old Galaxy (which was a great amp, not knocking it at all). My only complaint is the Metropoulis Zero Loss loop, it's got too much white noise. I've had other amps with this loop and they had the same problem. It works very well, but the white noise annoys me, but it's still plenty usable. My Z-Plus and Maz 38 NR head have dead quiet loops. Doc knocked it out of of the park again with this amp.

Todd Try it with the master up high and a pedal in the loop, then unplug the 2 cables from the loop and see if you hear a difference if you get a chance. I'd like to hear your results. Thanks!

Love my Nova, it's great. I'm curious about the noise you're hearing, I've never heard noise in my loop either. Are you sure it's not the pedal? Did you try hooking a short shielded cable straight from the sent to the return with no pedal in line?

Hi Dave, It did it with every pedal I've tried (all of my pedals are high end and they are silent through my other Z loops.) Master has to be up though. If it's lower, it's not an issue. I've even adjusted the internal trim pot for the loop.

Hi Tom, Bummer. I guess like anything man made, it's prone to trouble. I'm sure if you send it back to Doc that they'll get to the bottom of whatever is up with it.
I'm still curious what happens if you just run a straight cable from the send to the return jack.

I also have 2 other amps with that loop and they are the exact same way. It's nothing horrible, but enough to be annoying at home. At a gig, it wouldn't be a problem. Thanks!

Sorry, I missed in your first post where you said your other amps with the Metro loop do the same thing. I was just thinking that if the noise goes away with just a straight cable that it would indicate that the amp's loop isn't what's making the noise. It eliminates the pedals or the pedal board as a possible source of noise, that's all. Enjoy the Nova, it's a great amp and I love mine. I'll never forget the look on Buddy Whittington's face at Z-Fest 2018 when he was demoing the Nova. Doc stepped on the switch and kicked in the overdrive channel and BW got this big grin. It was a great weekend.
