hey hey...my first post on this here forum. two z's...ghia and a monza (MV) i picked up a few weeks ago.
just joined an allman's tribute project and had our first rehearsal yesterday. my first time playing the monza in a band setting thanks to covid...and man was it a blast. thing sounds totally different in a mix than it does solo, in the best of ways. pretty much the whole rehearsal, i stayed in the middle position on my 335...both volumes around 7.5, would dime the bridge volume for solos...after about two songs realized i wouldn't need to bother with the pickup selector anymore it just sounded so damn good.
vol 10:30 drive 10:00 tone - noon MV - 10:00
got comments from every member in the band about how good it sounded. here's a little clip from when i first got it.
looking forward to hanging out here more.

And it looks like a 1x10 Monza back there, too(?). One of the most fun amps to play--sounds good with the dials pointed in practically any direction.

That sounds great! The first Z I played, many years ago, was an earlier Monza with no master. It was way too loud, but sounded awesome! I still think about it. I think a Monza with a master would work for me.

Sounds great and great playing! Always a good sign when you just roll with a sound and it just works. Also the AB band, that sounds like a ton of fun. Soulful, some room to roam and be yourself too. Thanks for posting.

Welcome to the family, it's the best kept secret on the web for good knowledge, good people, and good times. You sound great, the Monza deserves more attention than it gets. Deceptively simple but powerful controls on that amp, I used to love taking mine to a jam and having people ask me if that's really only a 1x10 amp! It sounds huge for it's footprint.

Also, with volume all the way up you get a really nice fuzz tone with lots of swell, no pedals needed.

MONZA & GHIA are one of the best two amp set ups possible. Enjoy!
