I had a very good weekend with the Z-Lux. I was able to use it with two different bands over the weekend. I had the volume around 10:00 and the gave a pretty clean tone, something I almost never have with the way that I set up most amps. I took my old FD2, a delay, and my old Fulltone Clyde and everything turned out great.
The 2nd band is an upstart. I was recruited a couple of weeks ago and they told me classic rock, but it will mostly be a blues band along with some 60s and 70s classic rock and R&B. The Lux was great in both environments. I used a Heritage LP (H-150) and my Gibson LP Gold Top with P90's. Those P90's! They were incredible with this amp.
I can't begin to say how great this amp is. I know you all know that.
I do have one dilemma. The fellows in the blues band want to play some Michael Burks! I would love to, but I need a drive pedal that has biting tone like Michael has on his Iron Man Album. So, any advice on that would be great!

I need to find the right overdrive pedal for it for what I like. The FD2 is pretty good, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for. I'm so use the Z Wreck Jr and CAZ's natural overdrive, pedal aren't getting it.

I need a mild drive for blues, but a more aggressive drive for some modern blues like Michael Burks and Joe Bonamassa.

Russell, try a Zen Drive. You’ll be glad you did. As always YMMV.

Michael's pedalboard - looks like gold or silver Klon Is that a TS 10? Sure looks like it to me - they are going for $500 on Reverb (give or take a few bucks).
