Brand new Z-Lux. Here’s a clip of the problem I’m having: streamable.com/d82a4oHissing sound happening at particular frequencies. Really taking the fun out of the beautiful sound of the amp. 😢 Anybody experienced this?

Sorry to hear about your problem. My first guess would be a bad tube possibly a pre-amp but a 6V6 could do it as well. Couple things to try, go to half power that will eliminate 2 6V6's and see if its still there. Not sure how you feel about troubleshooting a new amp, BTW what is the serial number ? If the half power still has the hiss, try swapping 6v6 # 1 with #2 and #3 with #4 positions to eliminate those from the mix. And try the 1/2 power again this time with different tubes being used. I understand if you're a bit reluctant to do that , but I just thought I would throw out what I would do first .
Next take a good 12AX7 and swap in each position one at a time again only if you're comfortable doing that. Also if you have an extension cab , disconnect the internal speaker and try plugged into the external speaker see if it's a resonate frequency generated by the internal speaker/cab . Let me know the results of your tests.

Hi Doc! Thank you for the response. Serial number is EE-38503. Swapped the 6V6’s and here is the result: streamable.com/93rrvc

Hi Doc.. I did the AX7 swaps just now. Same hiss every time, both 20W and 40W.

OK if I understand your response correctly, you tried 20/40 watt settings, swapped 6V6 positions and retried 20/40 , then took a known good 12AX7 and tried in each of the 6 pre-amp tube positions one at a time, and the noise still exists , is that right ? If that's the case it pretty much rules out a bad tube I would think. So if you could sent those two videos to - repairs@drzamps.com , Don, Buddy and myself will put our heads together and try to find the culprit . BTW what store did you purchase the amp from and did you register it yet ?
