Looks like I need to attach m WAZA to the old Remedy! I agree with your guitar choices.

It really has that Plexi vibe going on.

Nice video. Jack is a killer, killer player. but, listening to him talk is unbearable.

The touch sensitive dynamics and aggressive overall tone is why I love the Remedy/Plexi tone. Setting the amp volume/drive up high and using the guitar volume knob to achieve different levels of drive is awesome. At 5:29 he holds a chord and turns the guitar volume up. And you hear that drive and crunch come in...on a sustaining chord. 5:29-5:36...those 6 seconds is why I love this amp. It's the sound I've had in my head since the mid 70's. It's why I'll always be a 4 input Marshall guy.
EDIT:
And I like a lot of the tones of the 335. Not because it's a 335...but because it's a humbucker. Any humbucker will do, but it's the chords he's playing on the 335. (He played differently on the LP)
And he's 'kind of' doing what I've been saying about the Remedy for years: Turn up the 'high' volume, but turn down the treble. (keep it below noon) That way, you don't really need to turn up the 'normal' (bass) volume.
