Ok, I have to sound like an idiot here. Can anyone tell me the PROPER name used for the set of wires used in a cab to wire speakers in parallel.(usually connected together, and not apart) I need to order a couple sets, and for the life of me don’t know their correct name! If anyone knows where to get them, that would be a added bonus.

Mojotone calls it a "wiring harness for ___ speaker cabinet". If you decide to buy from them, keep in mid that the 1/4" spade connectors they use are too large for Celestion speakers (unless they changed them since the last time I bought a cabinet from them).

Evidently there is more than one size spade connector out there and more than one size lug on various speakers. Matching them up has always been an issue with me since I have the soldering skills of a chimp. Sometimes using the same brand speaker that you’re replacing works, but not always. FWIW I have a very recent Mojotone ultralight 1x12 cab factory loaded with a Neo Creamback and the stock Mojo harness obviously fits fine. You might want to give Mojo a call directly and talk to them. I’ve found their guys to be pretty helpful.

I cut the connectors off and replaced them with connectors for the 0.205" wide tabs that are on Celestion speakers. I normally solder wires in place, but wanted to be able to experiment with speakers in this cabinet.
My cabinet didn't come with speakers or harness and I bought the harness that Mojotone sells separately (I shouldn't have- it's just a Switchcraft jack, 4 spade connectors and a few feet of 18 gauge wire, and I can solder well). Maybe they used the larger 1/4" connectors as a one size fits all approach.

Nothing I hate more than getting a new speaker in a cab only to find out the connectors don’t fit. I’ve bent more than one spade trying to force on a non-fitting connector. Seems to me that some are .205 and some are .187.

I can't remember the last time I ran across a speaker that did NOT have .205 tabs. I bought a couple hundred of the right size connectors from Mouser a few years ago. I am about out of them so I need to order some soon. The Mouser part number was 159-1642. I guess that is still a good number.

I have a bag of 100 connectors for 0.205" x 0.020" tabs. I can't imagine ever running out!

I use a lot of them on repairs for customers. I seldom use them for myself. Every amp I refurb gets a new set.
