I bought a couple of empty cabs from Weber and they finally arrived.
The Blonde one with the EZG on top is a 2x10 and I loaded it with a Celestion Gold 10" and a Dr.Z Red Fang 10". I was running a 2x12 with a Gold and a Blue in it which sounded really nice, but this little 2x10 sounds GREAT. It's convertible and right now it's got the top panel out. It's a great combination of speaker and amp. It looks like a Munchkin out of Wizard of Oz or something, short and squat. But man, it sounds great.
The other cab is a 1x15 that I loaded with an Altec Lansing 418b that sounds really good with a Ghia or the EZG. It's semi open back too.

Cool, thanks for sharing. I like the little cab, different for sure. Makes the head look huge. Wife like the fancy wood on the left. And I see what you mean, could be perfect for that amp. I plugged in my EZG a couple days ago with my sg and wound up spending a couple hours playing a couple chords. I just kind of listen to the sound, maybe arpeggiate the chord, and just kind of get mesmerized with the sound. Then I move a couple knobs and wind up spending another hour playing 2 chords. I'm probably the only moron who does that. I really get lost in the complexity of sounds sometimes, the harmonics and overtones, the infinite nuance. We are f'ing lucky and blessed to be able to own these amps.

I like the 2x10 cab! For those interested here's my EZG (my first Z ever!) with a 1x15 cab loaded with Eminence Legend. I love the EZG with a 1x15.

The Harvey valance was the first one he did - he used it as template for the others he made.

The EZG is downright dominating when played through a 1x15 cab. (Preferably, to me, with the Legend 151.) This definitely was one of Doc's "Big Boy Amps" before he later used that term with the Antidote. Jaguarguy (Mike) , is that my old JDesign cab with the Legend in it? Great cab...

That is definitely the JDesign cab with the Legend - and it is a great cab! Thanks for letting it loose!

Mike, I can't believe that the MuZum started out with an EZG. Looks like an 08. I kind of assumed that you had been collecting them a lot earlier than that. I'll play the oval front EZG picture game. I originally got the Z 2x10 cab hoping to cop the Super Reverb vibe of the EZG but the Z10s never really got me there. If I ever run into a good local deal on an American voiced 15", I may make a new baffle for it. I have extra grill cloth and piping from converting the cab to black and tan from S&P. On the other hand, the Z-28 loves the Z10s so I may never get to the 15" conversion project The mix of a 10" Gold with a 10" Red Fang is great. Both alnico speakers, and they compliment each other well.

Thanks Dave but I don't think the Gold\Fang is going to get me any closer to the Super Reverb vibe than the current Z10 speakers. I know the EZG was not supposed to be an exact SR clone but I was spoiled by owning a great 65 and gigging with my friend's early 66 for a number of years. I'm probably chasing shadows to try and get that tone from the EZG. As I no longer play out and my musical tastes have changed in recent years, the EZG through the alnico TT Red\Bad Cat ceramic 2x12 probably suits my style more these days anyway. I've got a Z-28 4x10 combo - running the EZG through those speakers is pretty darn close to my '66 Super Reverb - 'jus saying! 😏
