my old band, Sour Owl, made this recording as a reply to Ted's derisive comments towards stoners. I played a p90 les Paul into my 1×12 ghia. we have about 8 unreleased tunes which I engineered the recording of back in 2016.
"Notch me an arrow and bag me a skunk, Put him in my Little Chief and smoke him up.. You better look out Noodge. Cause a stoner like me, digs the outdoor scene just as much as you"

The horns surprised me. I tuned into Highway 4-2-0 first since I just had my iPad speakers. I figured they'd just be on that tune. But, there they are on Noodge! The horns are nice and tasty. Very cool!
Overall, very cool vibe or is that the funny cigarettes? Guitar sounds good too. I had fun listening to the tunes. Actually, it sounds like the band had fun playing and recording the tunes. Oh. I can't forget since my one bass player once told me my final mixes sounded like I was only painting in the middle of the canvas. You made nice use of the overall sound stage especially considering the number of instruments and voices you had going. You can hear everything and it all works together. Great Job!
Edit: Forgot to mention. The Highway 4-2-0 photo would be a good album cover shot.

i engineered all the recording onto my Tascam 24-track but then i exported all of the tracks and sent them to our alto sax player who is also a very good recording engineer and he mixed all of the songs in Protools.
GuitarZ here's some videos of tracking parts so they can be heard out of the mix. the horn players we had were great musicians.

I like that. Gives me an idea that I should have some video rolling when we/I record.
The digital age is nice. Just think about transporting all of those tracks out to your horn player in the old analog days. You would have had to send the tape, drop it off, or bounce it to something (with added noise) if the formats didn't match.
I found a plugin from a company called AudioMovers. I give the guys a link and can then broadcast a live high quality audio stream for a virtual mix session. We see each other and talk via Zoom and they use the link for the music audio. The only funny thing is if we're trying to focus on something like aligning a kick and bass hit, we always have to remember the music audio is delayed by about a second verses what we see on the screen. I just got notice that AudioMovers is now with Abbey Road Studios. So, I guess their business is expanding.
Again, good sounding tunes. I need to play them for the Mrs.
