Hello Everybody,
Just wondering if anyone here runs two Mini Z’s 1x10 combos at once when they need more gig/stage volume than just the one. I love how my Mini sounds (cranked) in the studio and would like to start using it live, but worried it may not always hang. Gigging/traveling with two Mini’s would be a lot simpler than traveling with my big 2x12 Maz and the Mini for backup/smaller venues (or even with a 2x10 Carmen Ghia...which I’m considering trading the Maz for). I am also considering a Tweed Champ clone with 10” speaker for tone blending. I would probably use a Radial Shotgun, Twin City, or something similar when running both. Would always have a backup with two and could run them together when needed. Any experience, insight or theories would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Shawn

You could always just get a 1x10 extension cab, load it with an efficient 10” speaker like a Red Fang or Ramrod and set your Mini 1x10 combo right on top of it when you need more volume. Hook ‘em up with one of Todd’s (PCNS) excellent Y-cables and you’re all set. Cheaper than another Mini combo and easier to carry. Probably as loud or louder than two Minis.
