I first came across the Carmen Ghia years ago via a YT channel called ThreeChordGuitar (run by "MojoCaster"). He had one and raved about. I've heard Brad Paisley call the Ghia his "desert island" amp. About a month ago, I got a new Maz 18 Jr Reverb MkII and got the bug to get a Ghia to complement. Found one on Reverb with a Celestion Blue and a Z Brake-Lite Install for a killer price, so I jumped on it. After 4 days of playing it, I'm really floored. What a dead simple platform that sounds just plain fantastic. I prefer amps with reverb, but with the Ghia, I find that I don't really miss it. It's such a harmonically rich, 3-D tone that the lack of reverb doesn't at all come across as "dry." I've never experienced that in a non-reverb amp before. Anyway, here's the obligatory pic with a Suhr Classic T Antique:

Dang it, I really need to try one of these! After all these years in Z-land and have never even seen one in person.

Everyone needs a Ghia! Congrats!! No truer words spoken, I think it should be a mandatory purchase.
