Hello,
I have a 2006 Maz 18 NR 2x12 combo and have a couple of questions I’m hoping someone can answer. Any information is much appreciated.
1. Is the master volume out of the circuit (bypassed) when dimed? 2. If I get the master volume mod, will it be out of the circuit when dimed? 3. If I get the eq bypass mod, does the cut knob still work when the eq is bypassed?
Thanks for any help...cheers!

I'll be curious on the specific answer to 1 & 2 from someone who knows, but wow the master dimed would be stupid loud. As Humbucker Music likes to say in their Maz and Ghia reviews they are 18 Dr Z watts. Regardless of the answer, I think that is a AMA where the Dr talks about his MV design and how it's different than others. Depending on why you're asking you may want to check that out. In my experience the Z's I've owned with a MV (Therapy, Maz 18, and Cure) have all kept their tone, at least when you get them above a bedroom volume.

Thanks, Guys. Yes, it is a very loud 18 watts ...I do use a Brake-Lite with it, though. I’m kind of hoping to be able to, with a flip of a switch or two (EQ Bypass and Master Volume bypass), make the Maz more like a Mini Z, Carmen Ghia and KT-45 with less knobs and a more direct and raw connection to the amp. I’m also intrigued by the master volume mod which they say might be better than an attenuator...would still like to be able to take it out of the circuit, though. Any further thoughts are much appreciated...cheers!

Cut continues to function when the eq is bypassed.
