Am I the only one who wishes the EMS could footswitch between the Hi and Lo toggle positions? Is this a mod that could be done?

I like seeing inside them, but I’d rather not dismantle mine Same with the Z Wreck Jr head I have.

The Hi/Lo circuit involves adding and subtracting multiple values of components in a couple of different circuit places. Which a simple toggle FS can not accomplish. On a side note interest and orders of EMS have hit the roof as of late, not complaining just surprised. I have one on its way to Adam to film another excellent video, that should add fuel to the fire. Z

Killer service! It’s about time people get what the EMS is all about. I stumbled across it not even knowing what it was. Read up about it and thought “Wow, I have been looking for an amp like this.” I point people towards it all the time as it is such a great amp.

Cool that orders are coming for it. If anyone wants to chime in here, is there anything they can think they'd want me to try and cover about the amp? I'm all ears, and thanks.

We did an A/B between the EMS and a Marshall 1987X. While they were close, we reached a consensus that the Marshall was just a tad bit better than EMS. Imagine our surprise when we found out that during our A/B that the cables were switched and what we thought was the Marshall was actually the EMS. It out-Marshalled the Marshall! I think you'll have fun with it!

Maybe talk about the difference between a JTM45 and JTM50? The 50 isn’t as known I would think.

I have one on its way to Adam to film another excellent video, that should add fuel to the fire. Z As a long time owner of the EMS, I’m not surprised! It’s an amazing amp that rocks hard but also can be used at bedroom level for practice with ease. And being 3 Marshalls in 1, it’s an incredible value as well. It’s a brilliant amp, sometimes it just takes time for word to get out. Honestly, the amp has a tremendous clean tone, especially on lo gain (with low gain dialed in - 9:00ish), touch on and rectifier in BOTH positions- just be sure to have the volume above 12:00!

The EMS is such a killer amp!

Imagine our surprise when we found out that during our A/B that the cables were switched and what we thought was the Marshall was actually the EMS. It out-Marshalled the Marshall! I think you'll have fun with it! That's funny! For all the Marshall like stuff I have around, my hands on experience is pretty limited. Tried an old plexi in a store once and it was the brightest, most obnoxious thing you ever heard. Tried a plexi reissue in a store (long time ago) with a LP, it was I think the nicest clean I'd every heard at the time. Had a 900 when they came out which was pretty bad by itself, but it had a Soldano hot mod in it and it killed at that one sound it did (should have kept that one). Friend has a few old 800's, just kind of "ok" I thought. Also tried them when they came out at a music store I used to teach in and thought those were cool at the time, but it was out of my price range so I was stuck with my Music Man RD100 which I kind of liked at the time. A friend has a highly modified JMP that kills, but that's an odd ball. Played through some of the new ones, didn't care for those. Super looking forward to trying the EMS. On the Randall/Synergy side I have 4 plexi things, a JTM thing, and the Syn 800 module. A Splawn which you could call a modded Marshall, an egnator SW45 that's another take in Marshall territory. Regardless, super looking forward to trying the EMS. There's some sounds in my head in the Marshall territory that I never seem to totally hit on.
