.....I gave the Z Wreck Jr a second chance......WOW! SO glad I did. Back story, I got one of the first Z Wreck Silver sets when they first came out. Loved that amp but sold it a year or so later. Then I missed it, so I bought a Z Wreck head. Had it a while, but never the right cab, so I sold it too. Then the Z Wreck combo came out. Bought one. Loved it better than both the others. A year or so later I sold it too. See......my name is Mark T and I have it. G.A.S. ( The first step in recovery is admitting I have a problem. ) Ok....so when the Z Wreck Jr came out, I had to have it. I bought one straight away. I was so used to the "big" Z Wreck, the Jr combo just didn't do it for me. I returned it. It sounded great, but just didn't have the volume and authority as the "big" Wreck......HELLO!! !? That's what the whole concept was about. A lower powered, not as LOUD Z Wreck. Fast forward almost a year. I got to reading all the glowing reviews, listen to the killer sound samples, I ordered another one yesterday. It came today and I am smitten. This time I got a head. I have several great cab's so this was the logical format this time. I've been playing this amp all day long. So inspirational. This time I get it. No, not as LOUD or percussive as the "big" Wreck, but that's the idea and I get it. It still has the same DNA, but it does have some slightly different qualities. It's seems even smoother. The drive is liquidy. Cleans up great with the guitar volume like the "big" Wreck. And the volume is a very welcome quality. Loves single and double coils. Can't wait to explore the tonal landscapes that await! I've had most of Dr Z's models over the years and the Z Wreck, Wreck Jr, Therapy and JETTA are at the top of my list. Keep up the great work Doc!
