It's been entirely too many years since I sold my "Interstate" 66...and I resolved that issue today! I present to you my "new" 2000 Dr. Z "Interstate" 66...green tolex, gold faceplate! I'm excited...bring it on!

Very nice! Mine still is one of the centerpieces of my sound (along with a ZWreck.) There are still things to love about other amps, just mostly as point solutions, however. The Zs are a perfect extension of the player and the guitar.

I discovered the SN is K-10172 which seems to put the build date in 2000. Can anyone shed light on what the rest of the numbers "work?"

First gig with the amp last night. All I can say is Wow...it sure is good to be "home!" It is my 3rd Route so let's see if I can hang onto this one! :-P

Played out Friday night at a local venue and grabbed the Route and my Z Wreck combo cab with a gold...no chassis...just the cab and the Celestion. It sounded wonderful...now to find a convertible cab!

This combo really is my go-to and favorite. The Wreck distorts on the smooth side and the Route66 is a bit more gritty. Both are great for cleans and right-on-the-edge tones. Sometimes it’s nice to have trem/vib/reverb in an amp, but at home I have others for that.
