This song is the very first piece of music I can remember ever hearing.
Nice playing Ian!

I think I felt a little more warmed up by this tune.

BMW - Excellent cover as well as NON copy of that tune. I love it when people do their own take on a tune - you get to know them better.

well, we are our own worst critics, and all that. i had hoped i could be a little better after nearly 50 years of practicing.
i should have gone down to the crossroads and made a deal when i was in 20's.

I'm envious. It just so happens that the band I recently joined wants to add this to their list. Of course they want the Santana version with the intro solo note for note. An improv version like this would never fly with them. Well done.

I think our version is nearly identical to the original Fleetwood Mac version except the jam at the end has a faster groove to it in our version.
i always preferred this version with the descending chords v. the Santana version. I used to do the Santana version in an old band... it would usually devolve into a testosterone filled rave up. lol thanks for listening!

That was outstanding Ian. Wow! You know your way around the fingerboard ,I really need to take some more lessons. i'm mostly fumbling from one lick to another but...
i just renewed my online lessons for another year. i do recommend it if you want to keep learning and improving. that and practice. thanks, Frank!

but really Ian, that is Carlos's style. I've always thought of him more of a riff player going from one to another than some who create a more melodic line in his soloing.

I'll echo what several have said so far. I really liked both songs and the free-flow, jam nature of both. Well done Ian!
BTW....that Lester/Ghia comination sounded great.

Love the tones coming out of the ghia with the celestian blue/humbuckers. Just a really nice blues chime on those individual note vibratos. Great job 👍🏼
