With most churches having to do a "Live Stream" for their services, I have been totally digging my Maz 8 for the recordings. I have it on triode, I use my Tim or J Rockett Animal or GTO for any overdrives I may need, along with delay or tremolo. My G&L Legacy has the Suhr Landau pickups along with the noiseless backplate so I have zero single coil hum but all of the Stratty goodness. We rotate between 3 different sound techs who now know that the house mix is different than the Live Feed mix so we are getting some nice recordings, but each of the techs, 2 of which are guitar players, compliment my tone every time. If I play an outdoor gig I will take the Cure, but for now the 8 is getting all the attention - from me and those who hear it. Something about an EL84 and single coils that just chime with clarity but have the grind if needed.
I will NEVER let go of this amp!!

Just pulled mine out because I sent the Lux on a holiday. Great amp!

It's just a great, great amp. It's got a huge voice that carries, I've never not had enough juice on tap with the Big Band or the Praise Band. And I don't mic it in the Big Band! I'll never sell mine.

Yes, it's a keeper for sure. I love how it sounds when it's cranked up. That's what Doc makes Brake Lites for.

I have 10-11 Z amps and at my age I don’t plan to keep them all forever. So I split them up into two piles, one pile to keep and the other to sell when the market gets better (Ha!).
No matter what I try, my Maz 8 always bumps something else out and comes back to the keeper pile.
