DC here!
Hey Doc - I'll tell you what happened just recently about 2 weeks ago.
Due to the current situation with Covid-19,
we haven't been reheasing as regularly as we used to in my band.
I was down in our rehearsal studio - we share it with three other local bands.
I was trying out the Route66 with the Line6 Helix stomp -
trying to get a handle on the newer technology - together with the more classical stuff - lols
I had to get some cables from a corner where we put stuff we don't use often.
Moving some boxes to get the one I wanted, I managed push the Route66 head off from the cab
and it fell to the floor - jeez - and to compound the horror the amp was on at the tine - yes.....
The volume at the guitar was turned off at the accident -
I very gently lifted the head back onto the 2x10" cab - lo & behold the amp still worked.
Been down several times since in the studio - rehearsing things by myself -
and the amp still works seemingly flawlessly.
I just keep my fingers crossed & count my blessings - hehe.
Cheers: Dixiechicken!
BTW)
Yes I'm a proud owner of the Route66 - 13 years now
It still is the my fave - and that's not trying to put my Z-Wreck combo down in any way.
Another great amp but quite another beast.
Dixiechicken,
Am I to understand that the Route 66 is..Dixiechicken-proof? LOL!
