I finished my 1st 2 complete set of pups yesterday. Pictured is the middle and bridge strat pickups fresh out of the wax pot. I put them in a cheap strat copy and they sound really good. Way better than the ceramic set that was in there. Position 2 in the 5 way has a killer quack sound and the neck pup is nice and clear, even when you play chords. I am finishing up a build on a tele body guitar that the tele pups will go in. Cant wait to hear them. Very cool Todd. What type of magnets did you use? Also, are you using a winder made from a sewing machine, one from MojoTone, or other?

When I found out how old it was I wanted to preserve it even though I got it for free.

Seriously Todd, I'm kiddin ya brother...it's very cool that you've gone down that rabbit hole. Did you make a turns counter, or are you estimating the winds? I'd really like to see some pics of your machine.

First portable electric sewing machine by Singer was in the 1890's. I'm pretty sure mine in not that old or even close or I wouldn't have gotten it for free! I do have a digital turn counter and a very rustic box. I didnt much time on the box because I wasnt sure if I wanted to venture into this. Now that I have had some good result I am fired up to get going. My youngest son and I are going to partner in a new venture called Greenville Music. We will have Greenville guitars with one of a kind painted head sticks and Greenville Pickups featuring hand spun pups. Of course, we will still have Pro Cables N Sound cable products available!
