I am new to electric guitars and amps. I have just recently purchased a new Z Plus and Telecaster. This is my first couple! I have played acoustic for 46 years, but no electric! My playing is primarily in my bedroom. I don,t gig or play with anyone else. I think that this limits my playing, but this is my current state. I have read many people ask if this or that amp is good as a bedroom practice amp. The Z Plus is very good at this. I am learning that by adjusting my amp controls that a wide variety of sounds are possible. Just recently I have been turning my amp volume up, master volume up, and controlling overall volume with my guitars volume control. This amp is very adept at creating that solid blues sound I am chasing! The more you work this amp the better it sounds. And I am learning how to create the sounds I want to hear. The Z Plus is not too loud, or too much amp for my bedroom.

With your long experience on acoustic I’m sure the ZPlus speaks to you - that Class A design gives you harmonics that would be lost in other designs. It’s a great, great amp. Keep twiddling those knobs, and has been said on this forum many times, do it with your ears and not your eyes. Sounds like you’re off to a great start.

Congrats on a great amp. I love mine, it sounds good with single coils or humbuckers. Ain't electric fun?!?

As can be seen from my new guitar case thread, I have my Z-Plus out this week. Mine has the AlNiCo Cream in there and I think it sounds great.

I keep my Z Plus in the living room so I can play around while the wife watches TV.

Very impressed with my Z Plus amp. Most of my playing is watching TV and playing along with songs from Music Choice! I had bought one on those Fender custom 64 hand wires amps. It was to bright sounding and it hissed. It would of been ok for playing in clubs but not for my living room. The Z Plus fits my needs and I like practicality. I don't play out much but at least the Z Plus is only 38lbs and I'm 69! I wish I would of had one back when I was playing through Deluxes , Supers and Vibroluxes!
