2020 Gretsch Setzer Nashville--locking tuners, TV Joneses, and the groovy dice volume knobs.

New Gretsch is here--man, it's stellar. Perfect setup courtesy of Sweetwater, too. Even stays in tune pretty well, which is pretty rare for a Gretsch with a Bigsby.

When's the sock hop starting, Jon?
Bet that will sound great in the ZW Jr with some slapback.

When's the sock hop starting, Jon? Bet that will sound great in the ZW Jr with some slapback. It does, indeed, Mike--although I'm liking it even more with a bit of smooth distortion into the Z-Lux. It's a ripper! And boy, do I wish we were playing a sock hop, dive bar, county fair, farmer's market or the local trout farm sometime soon--I just can't see risking it yet, even outdoors. People in these parts aren't great at the masks/distancing thing, may they rest in peace. We're having our first full band practice since March tonight in my driveway, though, so that should be fun. We'll run through some of our faves, and maybe try a couple of new ones (for us)--I'm thinking I'm ready to try Hotel California, and an approximation of the Kentucky Headhunters' version of Honkytonk Blues. Maybe even an original [shudder]--a little rocker I wrote called "What You Do To Me."

Nice guitar Jon. I love the knobs! Thanks, Keith! Yeah, me, too--they're a throwback to the Setzer Nashville V1, and only available now on the black model, apparently. I always thought they were kinda cool, in a slightly goofy way.

That's a great looking guitar, Jon. I've always wanted a Gretsch, maybe after I get my CAZ-45 I'll start saving for one. I bet it sounds huge with the Z-Lux. Looks like you rolled a '7' with it, but I bet it sounds like '10'!
