Hello All, Long time Z fan, first time poster. I was curious if anyone has played a bari guitar with the Jetta. When I play a bari, I will typically turn the bass all the way down on the amp. Not possible on the Jetta...but that may not be an issue. I was also curious about the sound of the wound strings on a tele through the Jetta. With both the tele and bari, I am looking for that good ol' twangy truck drivin' sound similar to Bakersfield/Pete Anderson/Bill Kirchen. I assume the higher headroom of the Jetta will really help those licks and give them a strong body. I also assume the immediacy of the attack of the amp will help with pick and finger "boom chicka" type country beats. For reference, I own a ZLux and a Cure and recorded an album with a Maz 18. All great amps and no problem getting the twang on any of them. The Cure is my current grab and go gig amp and I love it. I dial the mids all the way down for a more blackface type tone. There are times I wish the wound strings had more ooomph in the mix and, from what I've read, that's exactly what the Jetta could do. Look forward to your thoughts! Cheers.

I don't have a Baritone to try thru mine. But, my Tele sounds glorious thru it. It's a 60s Baja with stock electronics (a 4 way switch on any Tele I own is a MUST install). I just have an aftermarket Fender 22 fret 12 radius neck on it. After I got that neck plek'd.....Holy shite best sounding and now playing Tele I've ever owned. And, I've owned many. From a CS Tele on down. It's the one I'm playing in my avatar. That photo is pre Plek job...otherwise, I'd be smiling ;-) I would assume you'd defin. be running the tone on up with a Baritone. As this amp fer sure thumps pretty good. I have a Player Strat, Gretsch G5220, and a Gibby LPS (P90s) in addition to the Tele. And, really they all sound magnifico thru the Jetta. All I have to do when switching is twist the tone a bit to accommodate. And, of course maybe the gain with the Gretsch or LPS. Then....It's just Tone City, population me ;-)
