Pricey af, but hands-down the best Leslie sim I've tried, and I've tried a bunch of them. Big and bold or subtle and sweet--just sounds great. The "blend" control is everything.

Sounds like a Greg Koch review! I have heard so may great things re the Neo Mini, but for the cost I couldn't justify it for 2 or 3 songs. But on the flip side, I bought a DLS Roto Sim - and rarely use it because it just doesn't sound authentic enough.

I probably won't use it a whole lot either--I really don't use a lot of mod effects typically other than trem and occasional phaser or subtle flange--but how much money have I lost buying and selling rotary pedals that don't sound right? The Neo Micro is pretty much the only rotary pedal I've ever had that I've actually liked, so for now it stays. If I did decide to sell at some point I could probably recover most of its value. The other part is that it's going on my big display board, which has too much of everything--so that's just fun.

I’ve wanted obtain a Neo Ventilator when they first came out. The $499 really was hard to swallow. Then they came with mini vent. I tried it and didn’t think it sounded nearly as good as the full size unit. Now the micro I haven’t tried. Not sure if the switching will be as responsive as the original. I too have a DLS RotoSim and agree it’s not great, but since I bought it used I don’t have a ton of $ in it. The Neo micro has me curious. I’ll be interested to hear your feelings on the micro after you’ve had it a while. Thanks for sharing your Initial impressions.

I too am interested but i just won’t chance a waste of hard earned cash. What’s the final verdict based on sound quality? Neo vent? mini, or micro? And how about the leslie pedal, and especially the leslie G pedal(the black one)? Anybody have any thoughts on this one compared to the vent? I just don’t think it should cost $$500!

I've also owned a bunch of these and the Strymon Lex is the only one I've kept. I will admit I haven't tried any of the "vents".

I struggled with finding a decent rotary sim myself. At the end of the day, I went with the Strymon Mobius, which has every mod I'd ever want, and a few besides. YMMV. I bet the Wampler Terraform is similarly great.

I had a Leslie 145 and ran it with a Hamptone preamp pedal. It sounded incredible- there's nothing like the real thing, but it was way too bulky!
I replaced that with a Hughes & Kettner Rotosphere. I liked it, but didn't care for the size and power supply requirement.
I replaced that with a Tech 21 Rotochoir several years ago and really like it a lot. I have it on the Vibratone setting almost exclusively.
I'd like to try others, but this has worked for me.

I used it in a club where I was in the house band so I did not have to move it. I got spoiled with that genuine Leslie sound. I too had a Rotophere for a while. It sounded close but I let it go for the same reasons as you. I used a Vibratone for a bit but that is a different sound than a 2 rotor Leslie and not what I am looking for. I'm hoping to pick up a used Neo Vent Mini at a reasonable price but they seem to be holding their value and hard to find. I guess that shows how good they are.
