Week or so ago I made a threat asking advise on tele bridge for my Tom Anderson playing with cranked Z Wreck. Got several great advises. So here is the way my bridge pickup journey went. First I got Fralin Blues Special and it was definitely improvement in right direction ...sound was classy , vintage , twangy but was a bit too thin . Specially TA T Icon has roasted maple neck with stainless steel frets which adds attack , percussiveness but makes guitar really bright. This Monday I decided to pull trigger on La Brea set.. installed it this morning .....and bingo ., OMG ..guitar sound phenomenal ...somehow it has even more twang but tone is thicker ...amazing clarity. One of those moments where it felt like pickups were made for this guitar. Before this swap TA Icon was most playable and resonate tele in my collection but I did prefer tone of both of mine Fender CS Wildwood 10s. Now with La Brea set TA is absolute winner in every department. I’m so impressed with La Brea bridge that I’m going to swap neck too .

I want to get a second BP Tele and refinish it Shell Pink Maybe I can pop the Labreas in there as well.

New around these parts, but I'll heap some more praise on the La Brea bridge pickup. I had one installed in my Esquire a few months back. I've been through a few Tele pickups in that guitar, and all were really good pickups with their own subtle nuances. But it wasn't until the La Brea went in when I knew I was done looking. I was truly blown away.
You describe it well. That country twang/BP tone is all there. But it comes with some beef too. Single notes are just bigger and thicker, and I think chords with some gain sound a bit more aggressive than before. I was also very impressed with the clarity. Even with a fair amount of gain, the definition and note separation was surprising.
I also have a CS with Wildwood 10 pickups but haven't directly compared yet.
