Has anyone tried using KT77s in an EL34 based amp like the KT-45? Thinking of trying this out with some Genalex gold lion KT77s.

Sorry, never tried it in a KT-45. But did try 'em in an SRZ-65, which (I think???) might be similar if using a tube rectifier [some KT's I believe are set up with SS rectifiers.] It did work, and was indeed really cool, in the SRZ.

I also used KT77 in the Therapy - a 6L6 design - but Doc specifically said that would be fine. You may want to ping the shop for a specific answer. BTW - I love the ‘77s in the Therapy.
