I thought this was possibly my phone making this sound into my amp. Have never happened before and I installed new power tubes over a month ago. Ideas?

Hard to tell.....but yes, keep your cell phone away from your amp. It will cause the amp to make noise.

If its not a tremolo equipped amp, which the CURE isn't 99% of the time any rhythmic noise like that is CELL PHONE interference.

I thought maybe that was it, then I turned it on and had the same issue. I will move it to another room tonight and test again.

If its not the cell phone it can be another external source of interference. You may have to take the amp to say a friends house and try it there, I know it sounds odd but experience has taught me this. Z

I have the exact experiences Doc mentions. Turns out that I lived near a Ham Radio operator. That was at my old house. Where I am now is awesome. The amp room sounds glorious. But when I go to practice everything is off.... Something is not right electric wise at our drummer's place. Not sure what. But he is moving soon.

Plugged in a second pedal in the chain and it went away. No problem, because I will be using multiple pedals on this small board.
