I'm trying to figure out how this amp works with pedals, sight unseen. Specifically, can someone please answer the following:
1) When the EQ boost pedal is plugged in, nothing happens until the footswitch is pressed, correct? The Master Volume and Tone Controls work as usual. Then when the switch is pressed, the tone controls are all bypassed and the footswitch volume control adjusts the boost level. Does the footswitch volume control take over the function of the Master Volume, or does it control the boost level much like the preamp volume control while the MV continues to control overall volume?
2) Where are the effect send and receive points inserted in the signal chain, relative to the reverb? If the send is before the reverb, the reverb signal obviously won't be in the loop, which might be a good thing since reverb effects are usually placed later in the chain. But then, where is the return point? If the return takes you back to the reverb section, then hooray you can use the built-in reverb as the last effect in the chain. But usually, the return comes straight back to the power amp. If that's the case, when the effects loop is hooked up, the built-in reverb is bypassed, meaning you need a reverb pedal if you want that effect in your mix. So in effect (no pun intended) what I am asking is whether the internal reverb feature is still usable when hooking up other pedals in the effects loop.
Thanks.

1) When you turn on the footswitch it bypasses the tone stack from the signal, and the footswitch control varies the amount that the tone stack is bypassed. Cranked up, the tone controls have very little effect but you get more gain. As you turn it down, it brings them back into play. The footswitch control has nothing to do with the Master Volume or the Volume control.
2) The Effects Return routes the signal through the reverb section, so anything in the loop is pre-reverb.
3) Welcome to the forum.
