Hey Everyone,
I have a question. I have a Maz Jr NR head and a shorty 210 cab, but I never get quite enough clean headroom for playing live with my band. I was thinking of purchasing a Bad Cat Unleash Attenuator/Re-Amplifier to solve that problem. According to Bad Cat, the Unleash can re-amplify up to 120 W. My 210 cab has (2) 70W speakers. So does that mean I could use the Unleash safely because 2 x 70 = 140 which is > 120?
Just curious if my thinking is correct.
I'd also be curious to here if anyone has used the Unleash for something like this, and if so what was their experience.
Cheers! --Uncle Eb/John

Here’s my thinkin’ Uncle Eb. Yer thinkin’ looks good ta me because 120w is < yer 140w speaker cab. But unfortunately, I have no experience with the Bad Cat Unleash Attenuator/Re-Amplifier. Cool lookin’ unit though.

I'm pretty sure your thinking is correct. One other thing to consider is that, even though you want more 'clean' volume, if you were able to get 'enough' volume before, you won't really be asking the speakers to handle more than they already were.
