What I thought a few months ago was a tube issue might actually be an input jack issue.Today I was auditioning a couple of pedals, and instead of turning the amp on standby, I was unplugging from the amp when making pedal changes. When I plugged back in, the main channel was not working, but the OD channel was. Taking the plug in and out of the input jack, I could get the main channel to work after four or five tries.
I checked the tightness of the jack and it's tight. I tried wiggling the plug on my cord while it was plugged in and that didn't seem to have any affect, positive or negative.
What do you think I need to look at? What would cause the OD channel to work but not the main channel?

Connection from the input jack to the relay? Intermittent relay? Not sure of where that relay would be in the circuit. might just be the connection to whatever comes next. Pure guesses from a guy who knows a little but doesn't know a ton about circuits.

LT, my OD channel stopped working and I tried a different switch and anything else I could think of even pulling the chassis to look for possible burnt relay or something but I couldn't pin point anything. I played several gigs just using the clean channel and some drive pedals. It sounded great. I would plug in the switch pedal everytime I played and it wouldn't work. Early into the Rona lockdown I hooked up my rig and tried the OD switch and low and behold it worked and is still working.

Remember the gain channel is a mix Clean and Drive blended, is the second channel different sounding from the past, that is no clean tone blended ? Try swapping V 1 again . Sorry I can't be more help but it needs to be troubleshot to find the problem. Z

Thanks Doc for chiming in. My answers:
The LED works as normal, dim to bright. The #2 channel sounds as before, it definitely brings on the grind as I turn it up. I'll try V1, but I've had 3 different tubes in it; the original, a NOS and a new Tung Sol and its occurred with all 3.
The good news is that once the normal channel is on, its on. It's not cutting out while I'm playing.
I'll keep you apprised and might send it in if needed once the shop reopens.
