I’m just curious...
How long do you leave your amp on standby before powering down? Not before moving it after a gig, just in general after practice time at home?
Does it matter?

If it is one of my Z amps or old 4 holder head I do not worry much. If it is a Matchless I try to put on standby or off pretty quickly. Matchless amps are hard on tubes, especially at idle (on and no signal from guitar). YMMV

Just shut it off. There's no need to flip the standby and wait when shutting off an amp.
From the Dr. Z blog- "When you power down your amp, just turn off power switch and leave standby switch on. This will safely drain high voltage from your transformer and filter caps for safe transportation."
