Has anyone compared the Z Plus to the Carmen Ghia? I have a CG but i think i am looking for more of blackface amp tone vs British chime. Playing mostly blues on an Eastman T59. I like the Ghias warm clean tones but i really like the OD on the Z plus videos ive seen. Any thoughts on which amp is brighter? The half power and master are also appealing as i play mostly at home
There is a good deal on a used Z Plus online but i have not played one in person

I find the Z-plus brighter. I have a Z-12 in the plus and an 10” Celestion gold in the Ghia, but I’ve also played it into a 12” WGS Blackhawk.
Nice to Have both.

Z-Plus is definitely brighter. The Ghia has always been one of my favorite Z amps, but the Z-Plus, especially with the 1/2 power, gave the Ghia a run for the money. If I HAD to pick one, it would be the Plus just for that reason. All that being said, if you can afford to have both... ;-)
