Brought to my attention, as usual, by That Pedal Show. It appears the pedal has been around since 2018. Sweetwater has them for $99, so I decided to give it a try. I'm enjoying it a lot. The "color" knob affects the amount of bass and also limits how much drive is on tap. I think the idea is to limit the likelihood of mush from too much drive and too much bass. This feature works great for shelving off some bottom end when pushing things for a solo or using a higher gain, compared to your base amp tone, rhythm tone.
I've tried it with MAZ 8 and Z-Lux so far, and it has, I must say, sounded really, really good with both humbuckers and single-coils. If you're a dirt pedal junkie -- I am completely guilty -- you might want to check this one out.
Here's the TPS video. Other demos available on YouTube.

I didn't need to see this. I'm a hopeless dirt junkie. It really does sound good, I guess I'll be reporting back about how it sounds with my Heritage H-535...

I'm planning to try it out with my gig board today or tomorrow to see how it plays with other drives.
I will not mention how many fuzz/OD/distortion "machines" are currently in my music space. And there's another one that I'm on the wait list for. (No, not a King of Tone -- have one already.)

I got it this afternoon, and I'm liking it a lot. It's got a good fat but sparkly tone and the Color control lets you control the bottom end very well. I have only tried it with humbuckers so far (Heritage H-535) and my Maz 18NRII and I agree with Mike, it's a great pedal and really a bargain at $99.

Edit PS: The more I play it the better it sounds. It often works the other way around, but I just tried my Firebird into the Drive In with the Maz 18NRII, Z-Plus, and Z-Wreck in turn, and it sounds REALLY good. Sorry Russell.

Oddly enough, it didn't sound great into my Jetta with a Tele. Not bad, but not like what I was getting when plugged into the MAZ-type front ends. I probably need to tweak it more.

I almost always have Tele tone at about 70% of full on as a component of the base tone. That gives me leeway to get a brighter sound when needed, especially when I back off on the guitar volume; there's no treble bleed on that guitar.

I also ordered one on your say-so, Mike (does that make you an influencer?) and I like it a lot. Sounds very similar to the Zendrive circuit to me--really liked it with both the Lux and the ZW Jr., playing a Les Paul. For $99 it's a steal.

You make me sound so millennial, Jon Added: or Gen Z even more so.
Glad you like the pedal. I wonder if Sweetwater picked up a load on the cheap since I've seen higher prices on the internet, which is, of course, always accurate and reliable.

You guys need a Placebo Pedal.
Works great if your plugged into a Z Amp.
Recreate the Organic Sounds of a Z-Plus, Maz 18 NR II and others.

This (sound wise) reminds me a lot of my MI Crunch Box pedal minus the color knob. Do you have one of those Mike?

Some of which work, and some of which don't. Though you'll think they do, even if they don't. This is pretty much the operating principle my band is based on.
