Howdy,
Anyone a fan of the Celestion V-Type? I'm mostly done with the Vintage 30 sound, a bit much these days. I have two Dr. Z 12's, great for some things and okay for others.
I have a non MV Remedy from 2011. It is now neatly housed in a 1x12 Bluesbreaker combo cab from Sourmash. Beautiful in British racing green, gold piping, and basket weave.
I'm not such a Creamback fan, a little too mushy down low. That's the thing, the speaker has to get down to 70hz in order to get the chunk and depth out of a 1x12 combo. 80hz speakers don't get there.
Anybody? Bueller?
thanks

Bueller? thanksHey, swampcooler-- I've had experience with the V-Type and I'm a fan. A lot of my comments on-the-record can be seen under a couple separate posts I've made in the following thread: ztalk.proboards.com/post/812085/thread
