Tasty guitar playing, great song and wonderful tone. It appears Mike stomped something to get the solo tone. Wonder if it was a drive pedal or the eq bypass?

Maybe just a boost--sounds like a louder version of his tone on rhythm/fills to me. Hard to make out his amp settings, but it looks a little like he's got everything at about 2:00, which would definitely be making full use of those power tubes. I wonder if he's running at half power or full? Great tone and some nice playing for sure.

At the 0:48 mark there's a brief glimpse of the panel that seems to show that; visible for a few seconds in the lower left of the video.

Mike has a signature od and boost pedal. It is called the Peace Drive by Cast Engineering. Used on Reverb for around $200

Mike Z and Devon Allman were both from the St. Louis area and kind of sing in the same manner. I wonder if they had the same vocal influence. I was lucky enough to see Mike live, he was touring with Samantha Fish and they shot down to do a pickup show of Samantha's and he sat in the whole night.

Great tone! The Z-Lux sounds so good when it's cranked up breathing a little fire. I can't ever get mine that loud, so I'm sure glad it loves pedals. Very tasty playing. He's good, it's my first exposure to him.
