So, I've got to say, I'm awfully tempted by the Z Wreck Jr. But, I've got a Ghia that I've had forever, and love. Given that the ZWreck Jr. has the Ghia's OT, how much difference will there be between the two? Are they similar enough that I'd probably not bother with the Wreck, or are they really different? I should note that my music area is really small - If I bought the Wreck, I'd probably end up selling the Ghia. Anyone have any thoughts on this? DRZ?

Well, for one, I'd say that the Master Volume will be a big deal. Unless you've got one of the 50 anniversary small-box Ghia's--which have an MV--the Wreck Jr. will have a big advantage there (if that's a big deal to you versus an attenutator).

I'm sure the Wreck Jr is a fine amp, and Doc will sell lots of them. But never count out the Ghia. It could be possible you're getting complacent with the Ghia and could think the 'grass is greener'.
I'll bet the the Wreck Jr allows for a little more tone sculpting with it's bass/treble/cut rather than a tone knob. I would also speculate the amps have a different initial voicing.

I use an attenuator at the house now, so the MV is fine, but not necessary.

Part of me is thinking just this. Funny.

I tell you what guys, since I have an Anniversary Ghia and I’ve preordered a Wreck Jr, I will soon be able to tell you the differences! lol

I have a 2x10 Ghia and just got the ZW Jr. I haven’t been able to spend much time with the Jr yet but I can tell you the Jr has its advantages. The 2 tone knobs plus the cut are great compared to the Ghia’s single tone knob especially since I typically play with a Tele.
I run a Brake Lite in the Ghia which is very helpful for keeping the volume low while getting some good dirt. However, I feel the MV on the Jr is more valuable because it is more adjustable since the Brake Lite only has 5 settings.
I plan to run them in stereo at church. I’ll see how that goes.

My thought is if you need to sell the Ghia to buy the Wreck, then it's a mistake.

I probably never responded. The Jr. has more gain and is more touch sensitive. It's also more "focused" (if that is how to describe it) and perhaps darker in tone. I turn the cut up a good bit with HBs. The Ghia is more "open" and brighter in tone. They both seem to compress nicely. The Jr. is more Voxy while I would say that the Ghia is more Marshally. You can't go wrong with either amp, but they don't sound alike.

As much as I loved my old Ghia...I would have loved to compare it to the Zwreck Jr.

They are definitely different. I just added another 25th Ghia as I had to sell the one I bought new in 2013. It has a sound of it's own and the Z-Wreck has a sound of it's own. Both phenomenal and both keepers. I will be going crazy for the next week or two tweaking and going back and forth between these guys. One thing I can say is, one doesn't sound better than the other. Wish I could have found a red one but the Ghia will be with a black cabinet eventually so all is Good. Just added some 6n14n tubes to the Ghia and a nice RCA 5y3
