Hey all,
Is my Jaz 20/40's effects loop buffered? Is the effects loop in series or parallel?
Thanks all!

Found it... It's in series... Next question. I'm going to try this anyway but what is your opinion on having a buffer right at the effects send instead of 25 feet of cable later (buffered eq in loop) before sending back to the amp?

On my JAZ I used an AnalogMan buffer three feet after the send jack. It worked best for me that way. Use a buffer that will handle line levels. I chose the AM because at 18vdc it has higher headroom than most others.

I was thinking about that Analogman unit for the same reasons though. I'll have to try a/b'ing my cheapo buffer in and out and see if it clips then I'll decide what to do from there.
